Well, our beautiful fall season has ended and now we head into our winter season. We are hoping for another winter with lots of snow to encourage the skiers, and snow mobilers to come and play at Evergreen. We are busy preparing for our winter owners. Remember to make your reservations early to ensure you get any upgrades you may require.

Fryeburg Fair is just around the corner and we are completely sold out a couple of times during this period, which is very good news for Evergreen.

Work week will be held in October starting October 12th, 2012. Some of the projects this year are working on the sliding at the condo's, replacing the first floor hall with laminated flooring, building a new playset that has been donated to the Inn, wood cutting and stacking preparing for the weather, working with the phone system to see if we can get better service at the back of the building.

The financial picture for Evergreen continues to be a challenge, but is improving. We recently have gone live and are now on Expedia and other travel sites including Bed and Breakfast. These sites are now generating more rentals for Evergreen. We are trying very hard to cater to these rentals because as we all know "word of mouth advertising, is the best form of advertising." In the past couple of months, we have also had Wedding parties stay with us which has also helped generate more revenue.

I am trying to work with Oxford Casino to get Evergreen Valley on their website, but it has been a long haul, but I am not going to give up. I think this will also generate revenue for us in the future.

This year we have replaced the flooring in the front reception area, we have also purchased two new computers (thanks to Mr. Merriman), replaced burnt couch cushions (due to careless guests) and purchased several TVs and microwaves. There are many other items such as towels and linens that we replace on a continuing basis.

You are hereby notified of the Directors Meeting to be held on October 13, 2012 @ 9am to discuss the 2012-2013 budget. I would encourage as many Directors to attend as possible. If you cannot attend the Directors Meeting, please return your proxy/ballot. You must be a Director to attend.
